Kinja'd!!!

The time has come, it's been stolen and then returned, broken and then fixed, broken again, crashed, broken A LOT, and now it's !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! out from under it. At this point it'll cost more to get it running than it's worth. It's time to make my first real daily driver, my mean green shaggin-wagon machine, my-definitely-trying-to-kill-me Subaru go away.

Kinja'd!!!

The question is, whats the best option? What junkyards are sketchy? What pays the most? Is trying to part it out yourself even a tiny bit realistic if you don't have a garage or large driveway to work and store parts?

I need your wisdom, Oppo!

Parting out is usually the best way to maximize profit when you are trying to get rid of a car. It may take longer, but you can advertise parts wherever, sell parts for what you want and still have some scrap value of what's left and not worth anything at the end. As long as you have a place to store it, it'll work.

Forums, Craigslist, EBay, all good places to advertise parts.

Honestly I donated my old escort and used it as a tax write off.

We sold the Bimmer as a parts car for $300 to a local indie tech.

There's always LeMons ;)

what I have always done is part out what I can, then sell the shell/what is left for scrap. I just put something up on Craigslist listing the scrap car for $100 and call it a day.

Don't forget to sell the cat for decent money.
